We are excited to kick off the Oakland Environmental Justice Community Connections series with the Port of Oakland.
Come join us, local climate action organizations and concerned neighbors for this LAUNCH CRUISE on September 12, 2025- hosted by the Port of Oakland.
The event will start off with a meet-and-greet followed by a discussion on how we can build an Oakland-wide environmental and climate justice forum and movement. We will also introduce the $322 million Clean Ports grant awarded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the Port in order to work toward a zero emissions goal. Following the presentation, we'll take a boat tour around the harbor!
After decades of putting local residents at risk, we're excited to see this transformative clean energy initiative taking place in our neighborhood.
This Launch Cruise will reconvene our community-led series of monthly Community Connections meetings, so come join us to learn more how to get informed and involved!
