On September 11, 2026, the Ellsworth Firefighters Association, in partnership with the Rapid City Firefighters Association, will host a full day of remembrance in Rapid City, South Dakota, honoring the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks and celebrating the courage of first responders, military members, veterans, and their families.This day is designed to bring our community together in unity, reflection, and patriotism, with a series of events that pay tribute to the lives lost and the heroes who continue to serve.
The day will include:
A memorial ceremony to honor the fallen.
Static displays featuring emergency response vehicles and equipment.
The M-Hill “Stair” Climb, symbolizing the 110 stories of the Twin Towers.
The 9/11 Memorial Golf Classic at Meadowbrook Golf Course.
Whether climbing, golfing, or simply standing in support, this day invites everyone to participate in a shared moment of remembrance and community strength.
