THE 8th ANNUAL JERK, SEAFOOD & VEGAN FEST (JSVFEST) ADVERTISED FOR GRANT PARK, SEPT 21ST & 22ND HAS MOVED TO 2400 S. STATE/DEARBORN ST., CHICAGO SOUTH LOOP.

The popular, 8TH Annual Jerk, Seafood and Vegan Festival (JSVFest), set for Saturday and Sunday, September 21st and 22nd, 2024, that was earlier advertised for Grant Park on East Balbo, between DuSable Lake Shore Drive and Columbus Drive has been moved! The JSVFest will return

to its original Chicago South Loop site, 2400 S. State Street at South Dearborn and 24th Street, outside the Park-540, three blocks from both McCormick Place and ChinaTown. Visit www.JSVFest.com.

The foodies oriented JSVFest menu will feature Jerk, Seafood and Vegan cuisines, with a twist of other food taste to satisfy the entire family palate buzz. There will be scores of other merchants selling and branding their products, such as arts, crafts and more.

In addition to great food, attendees will be treated to live performances highlighting the best in some twenty genres of music, from Pop, R&B, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeat, Blues, Jazz, Caribbean, EDM, House, Latin and other World Music.

Among the performers in various genres of music are Lizzie G., Ifficial Reggae Band, Baby J. and the Golden Street Band, Bolo Jay, Chai Tulani, Serial da Boss, B1 Blackswagga, Kyle Lure, Sax Preacher, Tim Branch, BlaqIce, Honezty,  Connie Wilson, Doc Payne and the Payne Relief Blues Band, Arthur Sutton and the Gift of Praise, Sochi, Bustcy, DJ Malik Shabazz, DJ Ringo- One Blood, DJ Tynman, DJ StaChild, DJ Matches Innovation Sound,  DJ Buxzy Dee, DJ Derrick Fair, and DJ Fyre, among others.

The relocation is a result of nonexistence of city resources, according to CPD. Nevertheless, vendors and fans are welcoming the return to the original South Loop site, where parking and public transportation are most convenient.

This JSVFest, also, celebrates South Loop’s Pioneer Resident/Business Operator, Dr. Ephraim Martin’s 42nd year in the Loop.
