About this Event
Plates, Platters & Serving Trays
This intermediate/advanced wheel class is all about going wide and getting intentional. Over eight weeks, students will focus on throwing plates, platters, and serving trays while refining control, consistency, and design. We’ll dig into scale, rim profiles, weight distribution, and strategies for creating strong flat forms that hold up through drying and firing. This class is best for students who already feel comfortable on the wheel and are ready to push their skills further.

🎨 Is this beginner-friendly?
Nope — this is an intermediate/advanced class. You should be comfortable centering, pulling walls, and trimming independently.
💔 What if something cracks or warps?
We handle work with care, but ceramics can be unpredictable. Flat forms especially like to keep us humble.

Finished pieces are typically ready 2–4 weeks after the class ends. Pick-up details will be provided.
