About this Event

The 8 Week 1-on-1 Counseling Series, offered by SHANNEL HAWKINS LPCC LLC | Intentional Wellness Space, is a short-term, one-on-one counseling series designed to help CHILDREN (ages 6-12), TEENS (ages 13–18), and ADULTS develop long-term lasting emotional regulation, identification of unhealthy thinking patterns, safety restoration, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and healthy relationship skills.

The DBT Counseling Series helps participants learn skills that strengthen mindfulness, improve distress tolerance, and build healthier coping strategies. Each session focuses on helping you find calm, manage impulsivity, and create stability in your relationships and daily life.

The CBT Counseling Series helps participants understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact — and how to change unhelpful patterns. Each session will focus on helping you to identify Negative Thought Patterns, Replace Cognitive Distortions with Balanced Thinking, Manage Anxiety with Relaxation and Coping Techniques, Boost Motivation and Mood through Behavioral Activation, and Strengthen Organization & Focus for ADHD.

The Trauma-Informed Counseling Series offers a safe, structured path to healing for those impacted by trauma or prolonged stress. Through gentle psychoeducation and skills-based support, participants learn to restore safety, regulation, and self-trust. Each session will focus on helping you Understand Trauma Responses & the Nervous System, Build Grounding & Self-Regulation Skills, Reframe Negative Thoughts & Strengthen Self-Compassion, Set Healthy Boundaries & Identify Triggers, and Foster Resilience & Post-Traumatic Growth.

The Play Therapy Counseling Series helps children express emotions, improve self-regulation, and strengthen coping through creative and interactive techniques. Sessions integrate child-centered play therapy, CBT-informed emotional education, and mindfulness-based regulation skills.
