We are holding a research project to explore natures impact on mental health and physical health. We will be holding 8 fully funded sessions at our gorgeous base Wardley Hall.
We are looking for 12 participants who are classed as having severe mental illness. The phrase severe mental illness (SMI) refers to people with psychological problems that are often so debilitating that their ability to engage in functional and occupational activities is severely impaired.

The sessions will be focusing on developing self esteem and general wellbeing in a forest setting. We are offering a 2 hour forest and nature session where we will cover activities such as firelighting, identification of flora and fauna, art in nature , whittling etc.
In order for you to take part in these fully funded sessions we would expect attendance at each of the 8 sessions and we would require some input re monitoring outcomes, as the information will be fed back to the NHS Clinical Commissioning Team .
Photo consent for the participants would be helpful but not mandatory.
We have £60 per session factored into the budget to help with transport if needed. The sessions will be based at Wardley Hall, M28 2ND.
