8-Day Fashion Design Intensive: from Sketch to Finished Garment
Get ready to dive into the world of fashion with our 8-day intensive workshop with housing included! From your first sketch to the final stitch, this in-person experience covers all the essentials. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll learn how to bring your creative ideas to life and create stunning garments.
Join us and turn your fashion dreams into reality! All supplies and fabrics included, and the sewing machines are high end. Taught by former Fashion Design College Professor with over 10 years clothing industry experience.
Housing is provided as well as food for 3 meals a day. Mornings are off until 11 to use for surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking or swimming at the beach which is 5 minutes away. Or just relax by the pool overlooking an expansive river teeming with jumping fish and wildlife. The backyard view is secluded, in a forest, and sure to inspire serenity and creativity. Info: Have you ever wondered what it’s really like to be a fashion designer?
This one-week intensive is designed for aspiring fashion designers exploring fashion as a possible career or creatives looking to expand their design and sewing skills.
This Fashion Design Immersive week is held from Monday through Friday from 11-5 daily and Sat from 11-1..Students learn Fashion Illustration by drawing their designs onto croquis.
One design is selected and draped with muslin on a professional dress form. Students are taught flat pattern and draping techniques. They then cut out and sew their garment to completion, fully creating their own fashion design from start to finish! Student work is presented in a reception on Saturday. All art and sewing supplies are included, and the studio has high-end sewing machines. Fabric is provided to make your design come to life!
Mornings are free to swim, surf, kayak, or paddle . Housing is provided in a shared home with other retreatmates. Food is provided.
