7TV: Robot Revolution 2078 This is a sci-fi themed cooperative game where the players each have small, 25 Ratings Casts but work together as Robohunter teams against a horde of robots in a ruined city. Casts may be drawn from any 2.5 Edition profiles, so Core, ‘80’s or similar.
All the Casts work their way around a series of tables, divided into Sectors, adding up to an approximately 12’ long x 6’ wide ‘table’ battling renegade robots of various types controlled by the GM (me). Some locations on the table may be explored, others cannot. Each Sector must be cleared before moving onto the next. Cast losses in each Sector are re-spawned at the start of the next, although there will be occasions / events where some Cast members are gone for good.
Each robot taken out by a Cast scores ‘points’ for that Cast in the form of the starting Health Points for that robot. Some robots will be easy, Extra-level ‘kills’, others are tougher, Star and Co-Star level characters who score more highly. There are also a few surprises here and there which may help or hinder.
This is one long narrative Episode, a feature length experience, with intermissions for food and rest periods. The event will take place at 7th City Collectables in Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire. There will be prizes for the Top Robohunter (points accrued), Coolest Cast (paint daubed / figures), Robot K*ll Of The Week (creativity in the best tradition of 7TV) and the Hoagy Award (most awful run across the city).
Cost will be £10 per person, which covers table hire, etc. Food and drinks at the venue will be down to attendees to source on the day, making use of the facilities on site. All terrain will be provided by the store and Tangent Miniatures.
