Bios:
Mark Hanley-Browne is a Director of Abbey DLD Colleges, which owns and operates three independent boarding schools located in London, Cambridge and Manchester. He is also a Venture Partner with Emerge Education. Free entry, refreshments are provided, registration is essential.
Austin Earl
Austin joined techUK’s Central Government team in 2024 to lead Education and EdTech initiatives. With a background spanning technology, policy, and communications, he has collaborated with education and government leaders. Austin’s experience includes launching major tech events like Blockchain Live and the Cyber Security and Data Protection Summit. He has worked closely with education leaders across sectors and has a strong research interest in technology's role in education management. Austin is also Chair of the EdTech Advisory Panel for AI in Education.
Alison Clark-Wilson is a former school mathematics teacher, whose 30-year career has focused on all aspects of EdTech. From digital resource and curriculum design, to teacher professional support and the mentoring of hundreds of EdTech start-ups, she has hands-on expertise across the EdTech ecosystem. With Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in mathematics education, she is now a Professor of Digital Education at UCL’s Institute of Education, the IOE Faculty of Education and Society. Alison’s most recent Jacobs Foundation-funded research is focused on the design, implementation and evaluation of systemic EdTech Testbeds, which provide opportunities for EdTech to be pilot and evaluated in collaboration with educators and researchers to serve a range of sector-wide needs.
