Join us for the Qualla Boundary Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women initiative invites allies and community members to join us for the 7th Annual Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relative Awareness Walk. This is a community‑led and community‑funded gathering focused on honoring the lives of our missing or murdered Indigenous relatives. We gather to stand in support of the families and loved ones who continue to mourn their loss. We come together in remembrance and with love, walking together toward healing, toward awareness, and toward advocating for lasting change.
Where: Oconaluftee Island Park - Cherokee, NC, 28719
When: May 2, 2026
Time: 3:00 – 5:30 PM
All are welcome as we lift our voices and gather to support the families and friends who continue to carry our lost relatives in their hearts.
This annual event began as a community led initiative and is made possible through community support. Each year we work to ensure that every relative that is added to the list has an honor banner created in their name. Donations are welcome and help us continue honoring our relatives, find ways to support these families and continue this important work.
If you would like to submit your loved one's name to be added to the QBMMIW database of Missing and Murdered Relatives case we track, please use this link: https://forms.gle/LkkSbWf3Yx1iW3keA
