7th Annual Feed the Need Gala
Join us for the 7th Annual Feed the Need Gala on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 6:00 PM–10:00 PM at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham.
Founded by Gray Ellis in 2017, the Feed the Need Gala has grown into Meals on Wheels Durham’s largest annual fundraising event, bringing the community together each year to support Durham’s homebound seniors.
This year’s gala marks the final stop of the Beyond the Wait campaign — a community-wide effort focused on sustaining support for 100 seniors recently moved off a 600+ person waitlist. Funds raised will help ensure these neighbors continue receiving the meals, care, and connection they depend on.
Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, elegant dinner, live auctions, music, dancing, and an unforgettable evening supporting a meaningful cause. Each ticket purchased helps provide a week’s worth of meals for an older adult in our community.
Last year, the gala raised more than $130,000 for Durham seniors — and this year, we hope to make an even greater impact.
