79th Annual Steer at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa
Join us for this unique and beloved time honored Denver tradition on January 24th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This event will take place in our Atrium Lobby where our guest of honor is always the National Western Stock Show's Grand Champion Steer who joins us during our iconic Afternoon Tea. Known for making a grand entrance, the steer and his accompanying friend for the day, the Grand Reserve Steer, will move afoot down a red carpet and into place to spend the afternoon with us.Safe and secure with handlers, the steer will be available to take pictures with up until 1:00 pm or until they decide they no longer want to be models, whichever comes first.
- General Admission is Free but will require a ticket, which allows you an opportunity to take a picture with the steers using your own personal device.
General Admission will arrive through the 17th Steet entrance. - VIP Admission is $175.00, and gives you the following experiences: Photo with the Steer, Refined BBQ Luncheon, Two Pendleton Canadian Whisky Cocktails and an open bar of Beer and Wine. A cash bar is also available. VIP Seating will be on the second-level, which overlooks our Atrium Lobby.
VIP Admission will arrive through the Tremont entrance.
Key Information About This Unique Event:
- For safety reasons, petting the steers is prohibited.
- Only one (1) photo per guest/group will be allowed. This is to help ensure as many guests as possible will have a chance to get a photo as well as to not overstress the steer.
- While most guests have always been able to take pictures with the steers, we cannot guarantee every guest will be able to take a photo. These are live animals that must be respected and handled accordingly.
Due to the nature of this event, there will be no refunds.
