About this Event
For 75 years, Haystack has brought together makers and thinkers from around the world through intensive workshops, residencies, and conferences in craft, visual arts, and design. The School operates as an ongoing experiment in education—without permanent faculty, full-time students, or degrees—fostering freedom, exchange, and interdisciplinary exploration.
Executive Director Perry Price will share the School’s origins, mission, programming, and future vision.
The School’s iconic campus, designed by American architect Edward Larrabee Barnes, is widely recognized as a masterpiece of American modernism. In 1994, the campus received the prestigious Twenty-five Year Award from the American Institute of Architects, placing it among a distinguished group of culturally significant buildings nationwide.
Set within a secluded natural landscape overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Haystack continues to convene an intergenerational global community of creatives who gather to share ideas, materials, and discoveries.
