Hi,

My name is Lee and I like bikes. I've been a rider for 50 years and a professional MTB communicator and teacher for 22 years. Decades of riding and coaching have taught me how to keep a middle aged body feeling good and kicking ass. Join me this winter for some fun, effective training — and make 2025 your best year of riding so far.



Two workouts each week:

Weekday session. 1 hour long. Targeted, efficient gym workout.

Weekend session. 2 hours long. We have more time to add endurance work. If conditions are favorable, we will take our bikes to Valmont Bike Park for effective training that sure feels like play.



Duration:

7 weeks. Jan. 16 to March 1, with access to 2 sessions per week.



Training goals:

Functional mobility and strength. Moving in all major planes like a person should.

Bike-specific mobility and movements. We will focus on hip hinges, useful core strength, pulling, pushing and ultimately rowing and anti-rowing. These movements will immediately make you a better rider.

Fitness. You'll be getting at least two proper workouts each week, with one focused more on strength and the other more on endurance.

Community. So many of us live and work in silos, it's nice to share challenges and laughs with like-minded people.

Sensibility. I'm not gonna smash you with superhard workouts just so you feel like you did some work (CrossFit is down the street). We will build gradually over the 7 weeks. By the end you'll be smashing all limitations!

Fun. That's the point of all this.



Caveats and limitations:

These are group workouts. I won't be able to provide 1:1 technique or mindset coaching. If you want to work with me 1:1 you'll get a 25% discount.

Do not show up if you have any medical or psychological conditions that make this workout unsafe. By signing up you assert that you are healthy enough in body and mind to participate without health risk. If you have any movement limitations, let me know before class and I'll adjust your workout.

All liability is yours. I'll do my best to keep everyone safe, but it's your body and you're responsibile for it. You will sign a waiver with me and with the gym.



What you get:
  • Access to as many in-person sessions as you can attend. Sorry, I can't refund sessions you miss. The pricing model assumes you'll miss some.
  • Homework for when you miss sessions and for your own off-bike workouts.
  • Proven, simple training plan for your endurance rides or trainer sessions.
  • Free 2-month membership at the Lee Likes Bikes MTB School (www.llbmtb.com) then half off ensuing months. The membership gives you 25% discounts on 1:1 sessions both off and on the bike.



Cost:

$500 for the series, plus EventBrite fees.

What you need to bring:

I'll let you know what we're doing ahead of time.

Clothes for a gym or outdoor session.
