Come on down for North Platte Pride Room's 6th Annual Pride Fest! This all inclusive family friendly event will be held on June 21st. As many of you are aware that is Father's Day. We thought what better way to spend the day spreading love than with your father/father figures in your lives!! Don't have one? Don't worry! Free Mom hugs has already been contacted and has already responded back with confirmation that they will be there, which means Dads will be there too! So if you do not have a father or a father figure in your life, do not fret. We have one to share with you. Not only will Free Mom Hugs be there but so will many other informative booths and vendors with so many different things to buy!! Including FOOD! Our chosen families are very important to the rainbow community so this year is even more important as this year Pride is about the ones that brought us up into the world, or showed us love in our life when there was no others to do so, it's about the ones that took the time to get to know what makes us us and love us anyway. This year Pride is about family. Whether it be the one you were born into or the one you have grown and blossomed into your own. This year is about showing up for others in ways we weren't shown up for. It's changing the actions and behaviors we grew up knowing and loathing. It's about being the difference we so desperately wish to see in the world. It starts with us. It starts at home. It starts with YOU. You ARE the difference you want to see in the world, now go shine you beautiful rainbow babe. I can NOT wait to see you all at Pride Fest this year!! Thank you all so much for helping this community blossom into the beautiful rainbow garden it is flourishing into!!
