About this Event
Get ready for three days of fast-paced, competitive basketball at the Greater Waterbury YMCA’s 6th Annual Mamba Tournament! This free tournament brings local student-athletes together for skill, teamwork, sportsmanship, and community pride on the court.
This event is inspired by and held in memory of Kobe Bryant, honoring his love of basketball, commitment to hard work, and lasting impact on athletes of all ages. Participants are encouraged to bring their best effort, support one another, and celebrate the game with respect and determination.
Players will compete by division across three exciting days:
High School Boys: May 18
High School Girls: May 19
Middle School Co-Ed: May 20
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and games tip off at 3:30 PM each day in the Greater Waterbury YMCA Gymnasium. Each participant will receive a tournament T-shirt.
Whether you’re playing, cheering from the sidelines, or supporting a student-athlete, this event is a great way to celebrate youth sports, healthy competition, and community connection. Bring your energy, bring your team spirit, and yes, maybe bring those lucky socks.
