Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Michael G. Metelsky PT, DPT, BS. I will be organizing and sponsoring the 6th Annual Erik Johnson Memorial Magic Weekend on July 17-19, 2026. The event will be held at Brandy Springs Park located on 197 William T. Wardle Dr. Mercer, PA 16137. Last year’s event was a tremendous success raising over $10,000.00 for local charity. This year the proceeds will be split between Mercer Boy Scout Troop 38 and Brandy Springs Park itself. Helping improve the area's locations and programs for kids was a focus of Erik’s. This year we will have Day 1 Drafting/sealed Events; Day 2 Legacy, No Banned List Commander, and Modern RCQ; and Day 3 Old School, Competitive Commander, and possibly another Modern RCQ. Up to 3 RCQ’s will be determined at a later date with possibility of 2 Modern and one sealed event. The schedules will be posted in the discussion section and individual events at a later date. All events will have a prize structure based on attendance and donations. I will have local vendors present onsite again with expanded items for all of my fellow nerds out there. I am only asking for a donation to the prize pool and Raffle Basket section for vendor costs to set up. We will have food and drinks for purchase onsite. There will be a 50/50 raffle each day (drawing at the end of Swiss rounds) and Raffle Baskets with winners drawn on Sunday afternoon. We will have T-Shirts from past years at discounted rates, and T-Shirts for this year with all Sponsors listed on the back. Once confirmed for helping out, I will get your logo for the T-Shirts. It takes a team though. If you are interested/able in helping out in any way, please let me know if/how you can assist. Again, please help me help the local boy scouts and this local non-profit park for the kids in the memory of my friend Erik Johnson! We will be accepting Cash, Venmo, and PayPal for any costs.
