On Sunday September 11, 2022, I plan on honouring the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11, 2001 by running 34.3 km along the Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail. Anyone is welcome to join me in this non-timed, unsupported, non-competitive event. The plan is to run 17.15 km out and loop back. Every 5 km we will stop and dedicate that portion of the run to 50 FDNY fire fighters that lost their lives on that day and repeat every 5 km until all 343 names have been announced. The run will begin at the Hamilton-Brantford Rail Trail at the 0 km mark, located just south of 10 Ewan Rd. in Hamilton Ontario. Plenty of parking is available nearby at Fortinos.
