Μετά από κάλεσμα για έργα γραφικής και λεκτικής σημειογραφίας προς συνθέτες από όλο τον κόσμο, το σύνολο 6daEXIt Improvisation Ensemble παρουσιάζει πλέον και στη Θεσσαλονίκη 4 έργα των lo wie, Andrew Weathers, Kevin Corcoran και Anton Lukoszevieze μετά από την πρώτη παγκόσμια εκτέλεσή τους στη συναυλία που έκανε στο ΚΕΤ (Αθήνα, 17.4.2026). Τρία από αυτά (-6-, Reverse Horizon, Figure Ground) γράφτηκαν ειδικά για την ομάδα 6daEXIt.Το σύνολο εστιάζει σε έργα ανοιχτής μορφής, όπου η σχέση ανάμεσα στον συνθέτη, τον εκτελεστή και τον ακροατή παραμένει ανοιχτή. Η παρτιτούρα δεν είναι ένα κλειστό σύστημα με προκαθορισμένες νότες, αλλά ένα σύνολο από οδηγίες, κανόνες και ερεθίσματα που οδηγούν σε δράσεις άλλοτε πιο καθορισμένες και άλλοτε πιο ελεύθερες. Τα έργα δημιουργούν έτσι ένα κοινό πεδίο δράσης και ακρόασης. Το έργο «-6-», για παράδειγμα, ερμηνεύεται σε όλη τη διάρκεια της συναυλίας, λειτουργώντας σαν ένα πλαίσιο που περιλαμβάνει ό,τι άλλο συμβαίνει, χωρίς να το καλύπτει.
Η τελική μορφή κάθε έργου διαμορφώνεται σε πραγματικό χρόνο από το σύνολο, γι’ αυτό και κάθε εκτέλεση είναι διαφορετική. Οι πρακτικές αυτές βρίσκονται κάπου ανάμεσα στη σύνθεση και στον ελεύθερο — μη ιδιωματικό — αυτοσχεδιασμό.

Η ομάδα μουσικού αυτοσχεδιασμού 6daEXIt δημιουργήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 2007 μέσα από ένα μάθημα του Αλέξη Πορφυριάδη στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών του ΑΠΘ. Λειτουργεί ανεξάρτητα ως ανοιχτή συλλογικότητα με μεταβαλλόμενη σύσταση. Ασχολείται με τον ελεύθερο αυτοσχεδιασμό και την εκτέλεση γραφικών & λεκτικών παρτιτούρων συνθετών από το διεθνή χώρο αλλά και μελών της. Οι 6daEXIt έχουν πραγματοποιήσει εμφανίσεις σε φεστιβάλ (Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών Open Day 2014/2018/2020, Moving Silence 2014, Multeece Festival 2017, 52o φεστιβάλ Δημητρίων (2017) κ.ά.), στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης (2019), σε φοιτητικές και ανεξάρτητες διοργανώσεις και σε αυτοδιαχειριζόμενους χώρους, αλλά και χώρους παραστατικών και άλλων τεχνών.

6daEXIt Improvisation Ensemble presents four works of contemporary experimental music. These pieces resulted from a call for scores—specifically for graphic and verbal notation—issued to composers from around the world, and will be performed here for the second time after their world premiere at 6daEXIt’s concert at KET (Athens, 17.4.2026). Three of these works were written specifically for 6daEXIt.
The ensemble focuses on open-form works that redefine the relationship between composer, performer and listener. In this context, the score is not a final blueprint of predetermined notes, but rather a set of rules, intentions, strategies, and stimuli that correspond to actions of varying degrees of specificity. These works thus establish a framework for action and perception—a prime example being the piece -6-, which unfolds as a continuous enactment throughout the concert, creating a context that encompasses all other events without overtly masking them.
The final form of each work remains fluid, shaped in real-time by the ensemble. Through active listening and interaction, every performance becomes a unique, unrepeatable sonic iteration. These practices explore the common ground between the concept of a composed work and partially controlled free—non-idiomatic—improvisation.

6daEXIt improvisation ensemble was founded in Thessaloniki in 2007, emerging from a class led by Alexis Porfiriadis at the Department of Music Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It operates independently as an open collective with a fluid and changing lineup. The group is dedicated to free improvisation and to the performance of graphic and text scores by international composers alongside original works by its members. Over the years, 6daEXIt has appeared at major festivals such as the Onassis Stegi Open Day (2014, 2018, 2020), Moving Silence (2014), Multeece Festival (2017), and the 52nd Dimitria Festival (2017), as well as at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (2019). Their activity also extends to student-led and independent initiatives, self-managed venues, and interdisciplinary performance spaces.
