About this Event
63rd St Bech is a lakeside park with space for plenty of outdoor activities. The park staff works hard to maintain the community's green spaces, and 63rd St Beach is one of their most popular destinations. Therefore, they would like to increase the tree canopy cover and diversify the tree species to enhance this top-notch outdoor space for future generations.
We will be planting 16 native trees at 63rd St. Beach and will provide training to help folks learn how to properly plant and care for trees.
No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome! As a volunteer, you will work alongside the CRTI team and other fantastic volunteers to help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.
- Please wear long pants and close toed shoes
- Dress for the weather- we will plant rain or shine!
- Make sure to bring a full water bottle, snack, and sunscreen. We will take care of everything else!
We hope you join us and help contribute to the improvement of our local urban forests and making a difference in the community!
