Learn the basics of stand-up comedy in a firendly and fun environment. Six weeks, six 2-3h sessions and a stand up comedy starring... YOU
The workshop is for total beginners as well as more seasoned comedians who want to brush up their basics and get regular feedback in a supportive environment.

Your Instructor, Sive (Sadhbh Juárez Bourke) will guide you through the process of creating a solid foundation in the art of stand-up comedy and walk you successfully through any road-blocks and insecurities you may encounter on the way. Don't miss out!

I took Sive's Stand-up Comedy Workshop from January to March of 2025. Sive was friendly, open, and a very good teacher. The workshop is well-organized and a very pleasant atmosphere. Every class is focused and informative, and doing the homework with my other classmates and friends made for seven weeks where I have never laughed so much!
Sive taught us the foundation of joke writing, from the premise to different options for punchlines. She really excels at premises, which are the hardest part of the joke to structure! When we struggled to clarify our premise she was very good at listening intently and helping us find the right words and relatability of our premises.
The thought of the five minute set at the end of the workshop scared us all half to death, but Sive did a great job of prepping us and giving us feedback. Other friends took the class wanting to know more about how to put jokes in their writing or classes, so this comedy workshop is not just for being on stage in front of others, but also to know how to craft jokes.
If you learn the structure of jokes as Sive teaches it, you are guaranteed laughs at any open mic or on stage!"

✨ Who is Sive? ✨
Sive is an intercultural comedian, communication coach and therapist. She has taught communication workshops at German Universities and non-profit organisations for over twelve years, directed several community theatre plays and co-founded a non-profit intercultural community theatre group performing in over 30 German cities. Three years ago she dove into the world of Stand-up Comedy and has been successfully supporting wannabe and upcoming comedians to take the leap into this craft ever since.
Sive is a community theatre pedagogue, a certified Emotion Code practitioner and holds a MSc. in Environmental Governance.
She is Spanish-Irish, a little bit German and just relocated to Mexico.
