Greater Houston Off Road Cycling Association welcomes you to the 5th Annual Sugar Land Classic Mountain Bike Race!!!
This is a cycling event for EVERYONE from toddlers on strider bikes to hard core pro racers!! The festivities begin Saturday, May 2nd with Kids and Rookies day!
First up is the Kids Cup for children 11 and under. This is a non-sanctioned FREE event and every participant goes home with an award. The Kids Cup is a winding course through the grass with no hard features. Waves are broken up by age/bike type so this event is suitable for everyone from toddlers on strider bikes to pre-teens with a need for speed. Register onsite. It is the cutest event on two wheels. Helmets are required. We will have a limited number of free child helmets available because we want every kid on a bike having fun!!
Next up is the Rookies Race. This is a special category for teens and adults who are new to mountain biking/racing that want to dip their toe in. If you love it, you can still sign up for the official TMBRA races held on Sunday.
Saturday finishes out with e-bike racing and sanctioned Juniors 12 and under. Sunday is a full day for Cat 1-3 and Pro/Open races.

Saturday, May 2
11-12pm – KIDS CUP – We will have a tent set up for registration for all kids from 3 to 11 years of age. There will be an instructional bike clinic to discuss:
ABC's - Air, Brakes & Chain maintenance
Bike and helmet Safety - with an AMAZING demonstration that the kids LOVE
Then we will let the kids race his short track and receive medals
12:30pm – 1pm – NEW RACER CLINIC
Preparing your bike to be race ready
Preparing nutrition / hydration
Proper trail / race etiquette
Call ups before your race wave

2pm - “ROOKIES” - Non TMBRA / Exhibition Event
