The Friends of Malcolm presents the 5th Annual Malcolm X Weekend. Let's Celebrate Brother Malcolm properly! Day 1-May 15-6-9p-Scholarism Day-Knowledge is power and Knowledge is the foundation. This will be held at F.I.G.H.T. Community Center. We will be discussing:
1. Incarceration Advocacy.
2. Malcolm X & Rochester(1963-1965)
3. Black National identity.
Day 2-May 16th-12-6p we will have a BLACK POWER MARKETPLACE 12-4p. At 4p we will have a seminar of using AI and making it work for us. At 5p, we will discuss the Black Economic. Hosted at: "AT THE CORNERSTONE"
Day 3-Malcolm Art Xplosion-Malcolm inspired generations of poets, dancers, FASHION,visual artists, rappers and more! This will be a showcase of Rochester best conscious artistry. Hosted at La Marketa on N. Clinton.
