Join us for our 5th Annual Kōura Dive Survey Results Event. This is a community event for our Kōura Dive Survey volunteers, mana whenua, Waiheke locals, ocean lovers, local government, researchers, scientists, and anyone with an interest in our marine environment.
The Kōura Dive Survey is a community-driven citizen science kaupapa aimed at enhancing our understanding of kōura (rock lobster) health and the broader marine ecosystem around Waiheke Island. Over the past five years, we have monitored the northern Waiheke coastline, helping us develop a reliable local insight into our marine environment.
This years Kōura Dive Survey Results Event will focus on on Kaiāwhina (People), Tūrangawaewae (Place), Mātauranga (Knowledge), Tirohanga (Observations) and Tīkanga (Action) Kaiāwhina / People.
