We are bringing the Historically Black College Tour experience back to the Essex County community with this year’s Experience the Legacy HBCU College Fair taking place Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Newark Tech High School in Newark, NJ. OPEN TO ALL students.
Experience the Legacy HBCU College Fair is a premier one day event dedicated to amplifying the educational opportunities offered by Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The mission of this event is to encourage, influence and build awareness about HBCUs in order to help increase students access to a world-class education, while also bringing along the vibrant HBCU experience!
This free event will provide students the opportunity to network with current HBCU students and alumni, speak with financial advisors and connect one-on-one with recruiters from an assortment of HBCUs. Some of the institutions in attendance will be offering applications on-site and on the spot acceptance. Additionally, the program will feature live exhibitions such as a financial aid workshop, a Greek life showcase and an interactive Q&A session with a panel of esteemed HBCU alumni.
