About this Event

Emerging Waves with Sara Nics, teacher-in-training

Emerging Waves is a space held by a 5Rhythms® teacher-in-training. In this class, you are invited to move through the 5Rhythms with simple guidance, exploring body parts, giving space for your personal expression. Music becomes the teacher alongside the trainee, supporting your movement practice through the Waves map of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness.

Rooted in the teachings of Gabrielle Roth, 5Rhythms is practiced by tens of thousands of people around the world. It is a movement meditation, a creative path, and a philosophy grounded in the belief that when we move, we heal. Movement becomes both medicine and metaphor—opening space for personal insight, and embodied presence.

This practice welcomes every body, every culture, every age, and every level of experience. Wherever the 5Rhythms are danced, a community forms—one that moves together, sweats together, grows together, and supports one another's freedom & authenticity. Here we meet ourselves and each other with curiosity, kindness, and the courage to be real.

Creativity. Connection. Community.

For Those New to the 5Rhythms®

5Rhythms offers a simple, physical exploration of how the body moves and how movement can free expression:

Flowing - we arrive in our bodies, guided by the feet, learning to trust the ground beneath us.

Staccato - we give shape to our energy, finding clarity, direction, and the confidence to express ourselves physically.

Chaos - we let the body loosen and unwind, allowing movement to release tension and open space inside.

Lyrical - we lighten, lift, and rediscover the natural ease and creativity of the moving body.

Stillness - we soften into quiet motion, listening for what is present in breath, weight, and subtle shifts.

Together, these Rhythms invite us to:

• Feel more grounded and connected to our physical body

• Release held tension

• Discovering new pathways of movement and expression

• Increasing agility, ease, and body awareness

• Meeting ourselves and others with curiosity

All bodies are welcome. All movement is welcome.

Emerging Waves is offered as part of the 5Rhythms Teacher Training Mentorship Program. The Teacher in Training is guided and supported by their mentor throughout their development towards becoming a Certified 5Rhythms teacher. Sara Nics is mentored by Ray Diaz and Stuart Phillips.
