Hosted by the Columbia Gem and Mineral Society this annual show features 30+ dealers selling gemstones jewelry mineral specimens fossils and beads. Also featuring panning for gold geodes sold and cut a salted mine for children a raffle for large mineral specimens (grape agate and selenite) demonstrations of lapidary arts such as precious mineral faceting and jewelry making showcases displaying members' collections of minerals and fossils and the South Carolina State Stone (blue granite) and State Mineral (amethyst). The show is open Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Door prizes are awarded hourly. There is something for people of all ages. Admission is $7 ($1 off with coupon found on the CGMS website); children 12 and under are free with adult; military and dependents free with military ID.
