About this Event
The 52 Hike Challenge North Carolina Chapter will conduct an OPT OUTSIDE trail hike and park cleanup at the Carroll Howard Johnson Educational Park in Fuquay-Varina, NC on December 7, 2024 between 9:00AM and 12 Noon. This park is partially closed due to infrastructure updates, but there are still plenty of trails to get our minimum one mile hike.
This park has tremendous potential since it is located less than one mile from a new middle school. Unfortunately, there always seems to be litter to be picked up, but that could partially be due to the creek when it floods. Of particular focus will be the freestanding educational signs along the trails, so please bring a spray bottle of all purpose cleaner and paper towels.
We are attempting to have a Continental Breakfast catered for attendees at 9 AM. Please be sure to get your free tickets so we can plan ahead in the event we can cater it.
