Celebrate the Glorious Return of the Waldensians to their home valleys at the 51st Annual Waldensian Festival! Festival Saturday will kick off with the Waldensian Footrace, LPDA Regional Bocce Tournament, and over 140 specialty vendors lining Main Street! Browse unique crafts and goods, including all your favorite street foods: kettle corn, funnel cakes, chicken on a stick, snow cones, gyros, turkey legs, cotton candy and more! Cool down at the FREE Kidz Zone and enjoy multiple bouncy houses, obstacle courses and the water slide!
Festival Main Stage will feature a variety of live entertainment throughout the day and historic attractions will be hosting special tours. Be sure to stop by the Waldensian Heritage Museum and the Trail of Faith for an in depth look at the fascinating history of the Waldensian people. Venture down to the Old Rock School to view submissions for the RSAF Open Art Competition and cast your vote for the People's Choice Award. The Piedmont and Western Railroad Museum will be open from 9-4:00- come explore the largest indoor railroad display in North Carolina! Enjoy the final performance of the outdoor drama "From This Day Forward" at the Fred B. Cranford Amphitheatre to see the story of the Waldensians brought to life!
