On Saturday, May 16, we’re launching a new community tradition with a 518 Day celebration starting with a 5.18K Road Race in downtown Albany and continuing throughout the day with live music, food and beverages, and a 518-themed vendor village.The morning starts with a Kids’ 1K at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5.18K at 9:00 AM, co-produced by the Downtown Albany BID and Cap City Runners. The race awards ceremony and social hour featuring DJ Intell Hayesfield will be held immediately following the race in Quackenbush Square, winners will be announced at 9:45 AM.
5.18k Registration 👟
Runners who register in advance will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a ticket for one free beer courtesy of Common Roots Brewing Company. (Must be 21+ with a valid ID. T-shirts are first-come, first-served.)
Kids 1k Registration 🎖️
Kids who are registered in advance will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a medal! (T-shirts are first-come, first-served.)
