For 50 years, families have gathered in Utica to kick off summer together, and this year we are going bigger, louder, sweeter and more exciting than ever.

That’s right… come ready to indulge in scoop after scoop of the ice cream that started it all. It’s the ultimate Velvet weekend, and we are serving up as much joy as your sweet tooth can take!
🎉 Kickoff Parade – Saturday, May 23 (Downtown Utica!)
The fun begins with our Festival Kickoff Parade through downtown Utica! Come early, grab your spot, and celebrate the start of the weekend.
✨ Velvet will be there handing out ice cream to parade goers, because nothing says “festival time” like a scoop in your hand!

One of the most anticipated highlights of the weekend rolls in Sunday! Check out hundreds of classic cars from multiple eras lining the grounds. If you love chrome, horsepower and nostalgia, this is your day.
🛍️ Shop & Snack Your Way Through the Festival
Browse a wide selection of talented homemade arts and crafts vendors. Come hungry because our food vendors are bringing the flavor with BBQ, tornado potatoes, grilled cheese, lemon shake ups and so much more.
📍 Festival Layout Update
For this milestone 50th year, the festival is moving completely over to the Velvet side of the grounds. Everything you love, just centered together for an even better experience.
Parking and shuttles will remain the same.
🚐 Parking is $10 per vehicle
