50 Years at the Keyboard: History's Lessons for the AI Age - with Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE FBCS

Join Thebes Technology for an evening of high-level networking, expert insights, and thought-provoking discussion on the real challenges of AI, automation, and digital transformation.

Date: Tuesday 25th November 2025
Location: Eight Members Club Bank, 1 Dysart St, London EC2A 2BX
Time: 6pm – 8pm

Are legacy systems, resistance to change, and misaligned strategies blocking your transformation efforts?

Many of us are struggling with how to fit AI effectively into a world still running on a significant amount of legacy tech and the thought of these two worlds colliding can be daunting.

At Thebes we have been helping clients solve this conundrum for many years and on 15th May we're hosting an event with a difference. We would like to invite you to join the Thebes Technology Team, including several of our leading consultants for an evening of discussion and ideas.

At the heart of the evening is British tech entrepreneur, investor, and Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE FBCS, who’ll be sharing reflections from his talk, “50 Years at the Keyboard – History's Lessons for the AI Age”. Sir Kenneth’s career spans IBM, Wang Laboratories, and board roles at major firms like Reuters and Open Text. He is also founder of Interregnum and Chair of Restoration Partners, advising on innovation and digital transformation.

In addition to the keynote we'll host roundtables and discussions with our experts and your peers, which is a great opportunity to share knowledge and ideas. To keep the conversation flowing there'll be cheese and wine pairings from La Fromagerie, who will also share some insights of their own.

Expect a lively and insightful look at leadership, legacy tech, and what it really takes to thrive in the AI era.
