Restorative yoga is a calming and gentle style of yoga that uses props to fully support the body to promote relaxation and overall well-being in body and mind. This healing yoga practice restores energy in the body, releases long-held tension, balances our busy lifestyles, and facilitates stillness and calm. Learn about the benefits of restorative yoga for the body, mind and soul in this 50-hour training with Hang Nhan and Sarah Martin. During this training you will learn a series of restorative yoga poses, mindfulness techniques, pranayama and other gentle yoga stretches to incorporate in your personal practice as well as your restorative yoga classes.
Learn ways to fully support the body in restorative poses with the use of props (bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets) and variations for each pose based on individual health conditions. You will learn the benefits and contraindications of each pose, sequences and themes for a restorative yoga class, how to guide students with mindful cues to let go and release tension, and how to offer therapeutic touch.
Through direct experience and practice teaching, you will learn how to incorporate this knowledge into your own practice, and learn how to share your practice in a restorative yoga class.
At the end of the course, you will receive a 50-hour Restorative Yoga Training certificate of completion certified by saigon om.
