About this Event

We don’t just train our students, we teach culture…#MitMan Culture. In this featured 5-day course, we focus on learning the standards of the industry with an eye towards good, true practices.

The Standards

Your clients deserve safe and healthy homes: That is MIT Training's “why”. With over two decade’s worth of experience in the restoration industry, we are well aware of the struggles you encounter on a daily basis; unlike other experts and trainers, we live them too.

Following the IICRC S500 & S520 Standards, demands transparency, ensures integrity, and drives job processes, revealing the whole scope of work required to return your client to their pre-loss condition while increasing revenue. MIT Training's instructor will train real-world, tested techniques, and principles so you can create a truthful narrative to guide the processes not by opinion, nor emotions, but by facts. While challenging, following the IICRC Standard improves your profitability, reduces liability, while protecting you, your clientele, and the structure.

Some Of The Many Topics Covered
  • Capturing unbilled, under-billed, and overlooked tasks and services
  • ATP meters—your key to immediate category 3 confirmation
  • How the definitions of "drying goal" and "dry standard" are imperative to debunking the 3-day dry myth
  • Manometer – not just a funny word, but your key to proving you did not cross-contaminate a structure
  • Deep Assembly Moisture Testing (DAMP) – Why you think your structures are dry in 3-5 days, when they’re not
  • How to Use the IICRC Standard To Rebut "Third Party Reviewers"
  • How proper documentation legitimizes a loss and encourages faster, more complete payments

Intro to Project Documentation

From the words of MIT’s Instructor: “If you didn’t document it, it didn’t happen.” In a world of boy cried wolf, you need to be prepared.

In addition to the basics of drying, documenting your project accurately and appropriately is essential for payment and liability mitigation. We will use our extensive litigation knowledge to help you create bulletproof files that get you paid.

In our class, we cover the Standards requirements for documentation on a project. On our last day, we begin to explore how to put that data together with a practical strategy for daily and weekly reports with an eye towards final submission packages.
