Welcome to Summer Sewing!
Take on the world of sewing with instructor Amanda in our downtown Bakersfield studio.
In this 5 day camp we will be focusing on reading a pattern and creating a full look for our end of the week fashion show!
This is an INTERMEDIATE /ADVANCED camp. (Students must be able to confidently operate a sewing machine and have made multiple projects. If you are unsure if your child is fit for this option please reach out to me through email, call or text, contact is at the end of the descripton)
Looking for a beginner level fashion show camp? We are offering a beginner level camp in the afternoon, 9am-12pm. Go to our website or eventbrite landing page to find registation.
Fashion show week:
Friday July 4th we will be meeting at F&M fabrics at 10am for a tour and fabric shopping (cost of fabric is included in camp)
Monday: Designing outfits and cutting out patterns
Tuesday: Cutting out our fabric and starting construction of pieces
Wednesday-Friday: Constructing our pieces
Friday: Finish up last minute touches to outfits and practice runway walks
The fashion show will take place Friday July 10th from 6-7pm in our backyard garden in conjunction with our morningcampers. An RSVP form for attendees will be sent in an email so we can prepare for how many chairs to have.

Ages: 8-16
Pricing: $350 ($50 deposit is paid on Eventbrite and remaining balance is paid on first day of session. If you are interested in paying the deposit through Zelle, Apple Pay, cash, or check, please reach out separately)
Class size: 6
Camp includes:
Use of sewing machines, tools, and fabric
Water and snacks, though we encourage students to bring their own reusable water bottle
Take home multiple projects that are created in class
Fashion show for friends and family to attend
Other important information:
There are no refunds, but the class can be transferred to another student
In the event that a students gets sick:
They are to stay hone until they feel better

There are no make up dates for class. If a student does not finish their project, the option of booking a private lesson is allowed.
