The 3rd Annual 4x4x48 Challenge is set to go down March 22nd starting at 8pm! This event is going to be the biggest yet as all funds generated will go to the LifeCare Roseau County Cancer Fund! This fund provides funding for projects, programs, equipment, and services necessary to meet the needs of the community as they relate to cancer care and support of individuals being treated for cancer at Lifecare Medical Center or that reside in Lifecare’s service area. As for the challenge........The 4x4x48 Challenge is just as much mental as it is physical! There are many variations of how the challenge can be completed. The standard challenge is to run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours straight. However, this can be walked as well. You can also substitute the walk/run with 45 minutes of exercise every 4 hours. Exercise can be anything from strength training, HIIT, Cardio, YOGA or stretching and foam rolling or whatever kind of exercises you can think of!
This year we are going to raise funds for the LifeCare Roseau County Cancer Fund so we are asking all participants if they would find sponsors to sponsor them in their challenge! This is completely optional however as you do not need to have a sponsor. If you are interested in getting sponsors, please reach out for details and an official sponsor sheet. Your sponsor will basically pledge to donate a set amount of money for each challenge you complete. You must report in at the end of each challenge to mark the challenge as complete.
This year we will again be walking the 4 miles every 4 hours. If there is a group of runners that would like to run the challenge, we can do that too! It's all about team work and helping one another through the challenge!
