Rules & Guidelines
- Format: 8v8 (7 field players + goalkeeper)
- Match Length: 40 minutes (running clock)
- Ceiling Rule: If the ball hits the ceiling, a goal kick is awarded to the opposing team.
- Goalkeeper Distribution : Must be by hand or foot — no punts.
- Free Kicks : All free kicks are direct.
- Sideline Restarts: All out-of-bounds play restarts with a kick-in (indirect).
- Offsides: In effect.
- Substitutions : Must request permission from the referee — no “on the fly” subs.
- Conduct:
- No gum allowed (yellow card if caught chewing or spitting).
- Yellow card = player exits for 2 minutes; team plays down a man during that time.
Scoring & Advancement
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
Tiebreakers (Group Play):
A. Goal Differential
B. Goals For
C. Goals Against
D. Fewest Yellow Cards
E. Penalty Shootout
Knockout Rounds:
- Tied games go straight to PKs (except for the Final).
- Championship Game: Two 3-minute golden goal overtimes, then PKs if needed.
