Welcome to the 4th Annual U.S. Oval Champs (USOC) at the PRW Special Events Center, throwing it back to the days at Horsham Raceway. This year's event is March 5-8 and it marks the PRW Special Events Center's 2025-26 SEASON FINALE, we thank you all for another wonderful season. The USOC falls on the perfect date for racers to shake down and tune up their cars before the TOUR Nationals in Ohio, April 9-12. Please read below for details regarding this can't-miss event.For those of you that are new, what IS the PRW Special Events Center? We are THE premier carpet oval racetrack/venue in the Northeast, boasting a temporary rollout track that is as identical to the Snowbird Nationals as possible (dimensions, carpet, barriers, ice, etc). We host multiple weekend-long events per indoor season where RC racers can experience the true "national event" atmosphere right here in CNY, take real notes and collect setup data for future events, and go up against the best competition that carpet oval racing has to offer. Combine that with PRW's exciting color commentary, efficient program management and high-energy promotion, and you have a venue that racers and sponsors flock to from all over the U.S. and Canada! Last year's event broke a record with 213 entries, we expect to match or top that this year. We look forward to seeing you at the race.

GENERAL EVENT SCHEDULE
Last year, this event blew our expectations away for turnout and we had a very long Saturday getting all the qualifiers in, then a short turnaround Sunday. Due to expected high turnout, along with daylight savings weekend, we have opted to implement the Putnam Memorial schedule for this event (FRIDAY RD1). Please see below for details.
- Thursday 3/5: Pit setup and open timed (non-controlled) practice all day, from 8:00am to 10:30pm (facility closes at 11). Session clock will be turned on when a line starts to form (one session, leave stand, hop back in line if you wish). Great time to drop in, set up your pits, run some laps and unwind from your travels.
- Friday 3/6: Practice all day from 8:00am to 5:00pm (signups close at 4:00). Practice will be consist of timed sessions; group together based on same or like-speed vehicles. Exclusive sessions for Mod classes, EDM, Breakout, etc. are possible, and will be announced. PLEASE DO NOT GO ON THE TRACK UNTIL you have signed up and paid/confirmed pre-entries.
At 5:00pm: Track closed to prepare for ROUND 1 OF QUALIFYING, beginning at 5:30pm. Before qualifying, the ice will be cleaned, heats set up/posted, drivers meeting held, and National Anthems performed. No practice after round 1 - the round will be 4.5-5 hours based off prior event data.
- Saturday 3/7: Doors open at 7:00am, timed practice until 9:45 - late signups close at 8:45. Round 2 restarts at 10:00am - two more rounds of qualifying Saturday for a total of three. BETWEEN ROUNDS: Extended break for practice, ice cleaning, 4:00pm restart goal for round 3. Qualifying to finish at or before 9:00pm, practice available after.
- Sunday 3/8: Doors open at 7:00am, final practice until 9:15. First B-Main will start at 9:30am SHARP - B-Main winners receive awards. Short intermission after B's for main prep and 50/50 raffle ticket drawing. Trophy presentation and photos will occur at the podium after each main event has completed. Overall cup winners to be calculated & awarded at the end of all races. Finish time goal: 3pm. We would greatly appreciate your help with stacking tables/chairs next to the back door by our storage container, many hands make light work!
PITS/REGISTRATION
Pit spot reservation and class pre-entry for the event is located at pembertonraceworks.com. Pit spots and pre-entries open Monday 2/23/2025 at 8:00pm eastern time. There is NOT an entry cap, however, DO NOT WAIT to reserve pit spots, they go very quickly! You are welcome to bring your own table/chair if spots sell out, there is plenty of space available outside the main pit grid.

- First Class: $60
- Additional Classes: $40 each
- KIDS (14/Under) Rate: $30, Unlimited Classes
- Pit Spots: $10 each (1 spot = 4ft table space, 1 chair)

Our on-site hobby shop features more products than ever before to keep you covered here at the track. We will be fully stocked with PRW kits/parts, tires/traction compound, bodies, electronics, tools, accessories, and much more. Snacks, drinks and fresh-baked goods will be for sale all weekend as well.

Track/pit area located at the back end of the building in basketball court area (behind netted soccer field). Straight back if you walk in through the front entrance, or around the back-left corner of the building if you wish to park outside the pit area. PLEASE leave the main lane open for emergency vehicles and Accelerate staff if you park on the side. There is a very large, paved parking lot out front of the building that we recommend using. Convenient central location between Rome and Utica; tons of close-by places for lodging, dining, entertainment.
