Our Drum culture performance by Sankofa West African Drum and Dance on Stilts is one experience you have to see!
Founder and artist Keith Johnson: “Sankofa” is taken from the Sankofa bird. When the Sankofa bird lands, it looks back at its tail. In Ghana, it means going back and retrieving your past. Our drumming takes you back to West Africa with traditional rhythms. The drumming and shakers are highly intense and will have you up on your feet dancing as if you were in the motherland. Island Magic’s live steel pan music is ideal for taking the edge off formalities and making people smile. The Steel Pan creates a unique Caribbean Island, Trinidad and Tobago sound. Starting the party with our Stilt Dancer (MokoJumbie) brings everyone to their feet. Participants dance the Conga and the Limbo using beachcomber hats and shakers.
Also, enjoy an incredible performance by the Pretty Precious Step team! A local Non-Profit with a mission to empower young girls in the community
We will have giveaways and raffles as well!
