Swing for a Cause: Golf Tournament Supporting Foster Youth
Join us for a meaningful day on the green where great golf meets an even greater cause.
The Contra Costa College EOPS/NextUp programs invite you to our annual golf tournament benefiting the Dr. George G. Mills Jr. Scholarship, a scholarship dedicated to supporting current and former foster youth as they pursue higher education and brighter futures.
Why This Matters
The Dr. George G. Mills Jr. Scholarship provides direct financial support to students who have experienced foster care—helping remove barriers to college success and empowering students to focus on their goals. Every registration, sponsorship, and donation goes directly toward creating opportunities and lasting impact for these students.

Closest to the Pin Challenge
Sponsored by Primetime Golf, a premier golf simulator experience and proud Contra Costa College alumni-supported business. The winner will receive a $100 Primetime Golf gift card.
Tournament Raffle Prize
Courtesy of Ask Echo Golf, known for their innovative and high-quality golf bags. One lucky participant will win a premium Ask Echo golf bag.
We are incredibly grateful to these community partners for helping us enhance the tournament experience while supporting foster youth students.
Every contest entry and raffle ticket helps raise scholarship funds that directly support foster youth students at Contra Costa College.

Recommended Arrival Time
Info: Recommended arriving 15 to 30 min earlier to warm up and settle in.

First Tee Time
Info: Tee times start every 10 minutes beginning at 10am
Longest Drive Competition
Info: Longest Drive Competition will be held on the 13th Hole. One ball, one opportunity to hit the longest drive. You must stay within the fairway for your drive to count. Please see the FAQ's for more information.
Closest to the Pin Competition
Info: Closest to the pin will be held on the 4th Hole. One ball, one opportunity to land on the green. If you do not land on the green, you are not eligible to win this competition. A staff member will be on hand to measure your ball to the hole. Please see the FAQ's for more details.
Best Round Competition
Info: Participants scores will be tallied at the end of 18 holes. Lowest score/fewest strokes at the end of the competition will be announced the winner. Please submit your scorecards at the end of round to be tallied.
Award Ceremony
Info: Winners of the Best Round, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin will be announced and trophies will be presented when all participants end their round. We will also host a group picture.
