The Fair Highlights: The Fair serves as an ideal platform for various Government Departments to educate the public about welfare schemes and development programs undertaken by the Government. War Memorial Side: Over 48 Government Departments and Undertakings have set up pavilions showcasing their welfare schemes and activities. Rear Side: 100 small shops and 30 Private Pavilions have been established for selling various home appliances, materials, fancy items, etc. Exhibitions & Snacks: A variety of snacks are available, including Appalam, Pajji, Cauliflower Pakoda, Sugarcane Juice, Palkova, Cholapoori, Paniyaram, Ice Creams, and more. Cultural Programs: TTDC will organize a range of cultural performances such as Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Dramas, and Light Music by eminent artists. These will be held daily from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Anna Kalai Arangam stage at Island Grounds for the entertainment of the public. Dog Shows: Every Sunday and on Government holidays at 6:00 PM, Dog Shows are performed near the Police Pavilion. Amusement Rides: More than 30 varieties of amusement rides are available for both children and adults. Highlights include Kids Mini Train, Fish Show, Horror Show, Snow World, Magic Show, 3D Show, Science Show, and more. Transport Facilities: Metro Transport Corporation provides convenient transport services for the public during the Fair period at both the War Memorial side entrance and the Mount Road side entrance of the Island Grounds. Dining Options: TTDC’s Drive-in Restaurant operates the Coffee House and Barbeque Counter, offering hygienic, multi-cuisine varieties of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods.
