Migration Queensland (MQ), which is a business unit of Trade and Investment Queensland and part of the Queensland State Government. MQ has a focus on attracting the best and the brightest business and skilled migrants from around the world to invest, work, live and play in Queensland.

We will have four (4) guest speakers at the event:

• Marney Richardson is a Senior Project Officer at Migration Queensland (MQ)

• Paula Cope – Director and founder of COPE Accountants and Business Advisory

• Ben Warren – Director and Principal Lawyer at Ellem Warrem Lawyers

• Diana Gueorguieva – Manager International Trade & Strategy Relationships – Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland (CCIQ)

Purpose of Presentation:

Ms Richardson’s presentation will focus on the 491 – SBO (Small Business Owners) Pathway, main criteria, and analysis of the program so far. The presentation will focus on why 491-SBO is an excellent pathway for those who have purchased a small business in regional Queensland.

Paula Cope and Ben Warren will talk about the legal process to purchase a business and the ongoing obligations that you will have as a business owner in Australia

Diana Gueirguieva will talk about how the chamber of commerce and industry Queensland can help you to run your business in Australia and introduce you to the right contacts to help you succeed
