About this Event

Make Your Mark | Laissez Votre Marque

The 48th Annual GOG Awards Gala held at the Toronto Reference Library on December 1st, 2025 will be an event not only to highlight and celebrate the meaningful impact galleries and art museums are making in their communities by fostering creativity, engagement and social conversation; it is also a demonstration of the important role of art that infiltrates all aspects of public life, and position that institutions and individuals in the arts have in promoting a world that preserves art as a public good.

This year’s theme, MAKE YOUR MARK – LAISSEZ VOTRE MARQUE, focuses on defending Canadian cultural sovereignty, and ensuring that the arts is a public good. This theme calls for collective imagination and urgent action: to protect and nurture the expressions that make us feel alive, connected, and human. In a time of heightened social, environmental, economical and political volatility, GOG is leading the dialogue on protecting and standing up for Canadian culture – that it is not a commodity, vulnerable to political pressures, but is essential to our sovereignty.

The pre-awards reception begins at 5:00 PM, followed by the awards ceremony at 6:30 PM.

Enjoy an evening filled with:

  • Live performances
  • Cocktails and light refreshments
  • Inspiring award presentations
  • Networking with arts professionals and community leaders

Dress Code: GLAM!

We encourage red-carpet-ready attire:

  • Floor-length or cocktail-style looks in luxurious fabrics
  • Tailored suits or sleek ensembles
  • Statement accessories
