Join Us for the 45th Annual Jacksonville State University Social Work Conference and Earn 5.5 Continuing Education Hours.

Mark your calendars for Friday, March 20, 2026, as we come together at the Anniston City Meeting Center in Anniston, Alabama for our 45th Annual JSU Social Work Conference. This year’s theme, Training Grounds: Where Resilience Takes Root, honors the development of a trauma-responsive, rural behavioral health workforce

Connect with social work students, alumni, and practitioners from across Alabama as we explore transformative ideas, share insights, and strengthen the fabric of rural social work practice. Our conference will feature engaging sessions focused on ethics-values-community accountability, supervision + leadership, family serving systems, clinical & health practice in rural contexts, and aging. Sessions are led by dynamic speakers.

8:00 am – 8:45 am – PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION, REFRESHMENTS, EXHIBITS

8:45 am – 9:00 am – WELCOME (Dean Newton + Dr. Wickersham)

9:00am – 9:15am - Awards + RECOGNITIONS (Mrs. Snider)

9:15 am – 10:30 am – PLENARY SESSION 1: Dr. Allan Barsky (Smart Tech, Algorithms, and Social Work Ethics in the Age of AI)

10:30 am – 10:45 am: BREAK

10:45 am – 12:00 pm: PLENARY SESSION 2: DM + TG (Grant Information)

12:00 pm – 12:45 pm: BREAK FOR LUNCH

12:45 pm – 1:45 pm: BREAKOUT SESSIONS 1

1:45 pm – 1:55 pm: TRANSITION BREAK

1:55 pm – 2:55 pm: BREAKOUT SESSIONS 2

2:55 pm – 3:15 pm: BREAK, EXHIBITS, SILENT AUCTION

3:15 pm – 4:15 pm: BREAKOUT SESSIONS 3

Conference Participant Fees

Registration fees in effect from 1/10/26 to 3/9/26. Late registrations will incur an additional $20 fee. Registration closes Friday 3/13/2026 by 5pm.

· Alumni and Jax State Employees (Includes one conference ticket +CE Credit + lunch + swag): $85.

· All other Participants (Includes one conference ticket + CE Credit + lunch + swag): $105.

· Current Jax State Students (Includes one conference ticket + lunch + swag): $15.

· Outside College/University Students (Includes one conference ticket + lunch + swag): $20.

Late Registration begins 3/10/26 and will incur an additional $20 fee. Registration closes Friday 3/13/2026 by 5pm.

Exhibitor Booths Fees

24 Booths Total – we will not exceed capacity. It is best to register early.

Registration fees in effect from 1/10/26 to 3/9/26. Late registrations will incur an additional $20 fee. Registration closes Friday 3/13/2026 by 5pm.

· One Exhibitor Booth (Includes one conference ticket + lunch + swag): $125.

· 2nd Person in Booth: $30

· CE Credit = $25/pp
