Long Beach Pride Announces 2026 Theme: “Fearless and Free”Long Beach, CA – January 26, 2026– Long Beach Pride is proud to announce “Fearless and Free” as the official theme for its 2026 celebration.
The 2026 festivities begin at Marina Green Park in Long Beach with Teen Pride on Friday, May 15, followed by the main festival on May 16 and 17. The weekend will culminate in the iconic Long Beach Pride Parade on Sunday, May 17, on Ocean Blvd.
For decades, Long Beach Pride has bolstered the LGBTQ+ movement through empowering themes that celebrate authenticity. Recent themes served as building blocks for this year’s message: 2024’s “Rhythm of the Rainbow” celebrated the liberating power of music, while 2025’s “The Power of Community” reinforced the strength found in unity.
In response to a rising climate of hate and rhetoric, “Fearless and Free” serves as a call to action for a community that has often been forced into the shadows. This year’s theme honors centuries-long history of resilience, reminding the world that standing fearlessly in love is the ultimate path to freedom.
“It is times like these—surrounded by violence and political militants—that create fear within our community,” said Tonya Martin, President of Long Beach Pride. “We must remember that where our spirits join is the place of unbreakable fearlessness and the road to freedom. By living fearlessly and free, the LGBTQ+ community continues to lead the way for all vulnerable groups, proving that every voice matters”, continued Martin.
