- One Weekend. One State. Thousands of Athletes: Kick off your Alabama State Games Experience at Opening Ceremony!
This event is how the ASG Team starts the games, and it's free and open to the public. We strongly encourage all registered athletes, regardless of their sport, to mark their calendars and join us. Highlights include the exciting Parade of Athletes, a performance by Troy University’s house band POPulus, and a few other surprises.
Additional information about Opening Ceremony and the Alabama State Games can be found at ALAGAMES.com
The ASG Team will be providing free t-shirts to registered athletes and American Flags, but this is your opportunity to "show out." Be creative: make signs, wear your team’s jersey, and show off your glow-in-the-dark bracelets, bangles, and sunglasses!
Athletes will also receive their bracelet for the scholarship drawing. This year, the ASF Foundation will award 17 $2,500 Academic Scholarships. The scholarship drawing is open to Athletes of All Ages, provided they check in before 6:30 p.m. and attend the Opening Ceremony.
