**423 Platoon Depot PARA – 50th Anniversary Reunion**To commemorate 423 Platoon passing out from Depot PARA in May 1976, there will be an informal 50th anniversary reunion in Aldershot on Saturday 16th May 2026.
The outline timetable is as follows:
From 13.00 hrs: Meet at the Trafalgar pub, Short Street, Aldershot.
From there to the Queen Hotel pub.
Tab up to the site of the old Depot (still there, just, awaiting demolition behind builder’s hoarding).
Continue to site of the Trainasium, Long Valley, Caesar’s Camp and Hungry Hill.
From 16.00 hrs: The Foresters pub, Aldershot Road, Church Crookham. Scoff will be either be a barbecue, buffet or from the main menu, depending on numbers committing to attend.
All members of the Platoon and their guests are welcome to attend all or any part of the event. This includes those who passed out, any who nearly did but not quite (if anyone is in touch with them), and members of the Platoon staff. Anyone else in the vicinity, please drop by!
Please advise if you will be attending, together with number of guests (if any).
Accommodation can be arranged if required at the Holiday Inn Farnborough, hopefully with veterans' discount.
Dress code: strictly informal.
