Each person is given a sketchbook and graphite stick. We will explore Camden Art Centre and each make 41 quick drawings in 2 hours.
41Drawings Workshop @ Camden Art Centre, LONDON

Each person is given a small A6 sketchbook and a stick of graphite. The objective of the workshop is to walk through the free exhibition Camden Art Centre and make 41 fast paced drawings in 2 hours.
We will be visiting the New Contemporaries exhibition at Camden Art Centre.
Camden Art Centre is delighted to welcome New Contemporaries back to its galleries after more than 20 years. New Contemporaries features 55 of the most exciting artists emerging from UK art schools and alternative peer-to-peer learning programmes, selected by internationally renowned artists Helen Cammock, Sunil Gupta and Heather Phillipson.
The resulting exhibition offers a distinctive snapshot of current artistic concerns and approaches spanning a breadth of disciplines and presents an important picture of emerging artistic practices: taking the pulse of contemporary art and the urgent lived concerns that are driving artists in the UK today. It is a unique platform that provides emerging artists, many of whom live outside London, the opportunity to present their work to a wider audience, alongside a programme of artist development opportunities to support the growth of their practice.
Themes explored in the exhibition include care, kinship, collectivity, climate justice, world-building, geographical borders, and identity politics.

There will be lots of objects/artworks and starting points for conversation and inspiration to make some drawings. All abilities welcome and this workshop is free to access.
This specific session is hosted by Nima @nima.shafiani who works as an artist in today's London.
We will meet as a group at the main entrance of the Camden Art Centre at 6.20pm and the session starts at 6.30pm.
