Join Metroparks Toledo in celebrating Earth Day and 419 Day! Pitch in to help us remove invasive species at Oak Openings Preserve Metropark! Volunteers will be assisting with removing invasive species including garlic mustard and woody honey suckle. This will be almost entirely off trail in the understory and will require walking over rough/uneven terrain as well as digging with a shovel, bending, crouching, kneeling, using basic hand tools and other potentially strenuous activities. An optional short wildflower walk will be provided. Gloves and all other equipment needed for the project will be provided.
All ages welcome, youth must have an adult if under age 16. Please register all youth and adults. Bring a reusable water bottled filled with water. This program runs rain or shine, dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear, closed-toed shoes are required.
