Join us to celebrate the 40th Annual Bardstown Road Aglow, sponsored by Maker’s Mark, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from noon to 10:00 p.m. in Louisville’s Highlands neighborhood.
Organized by Highland Commerce Guild with support from Louisville Metro Councilman District 8 Ben Reno-Weber, this merry milestone event draws thousands to celebrate the holiday season with shopping and dining deals, festive lights and decor, and family-friendly activities—traditionally marking the biggest commerce day of the year for Highlands businesses.
Event Highlights:
• Holiday Tree Lighting: WHAS’s Connie Leonard hosts with Santa Claus at Wendy’s (1108 Bardstown Road at Grinstead Drive). Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m., with the lighting at 6:00 p.m. Live Music by Voices of Kentuckiana.
• Free Trolley Rides: Two trolleys by Trolley de ‘Ville cover Bardstown Road, Baxter and Barret Avenues, and Douglass Loop.
• Live Holiday Music: Performances by the Louisville Music Federation at multiple Highlands locations.
• Maker’s Mark is the Gold Sponsor for Aglow; special holiday drinks featuring Maker’s Mark will be available for purchase at participating restaurants and bars. Proceeds will go to support Gilda’s Club of Kentuckiana.
• Special Discounts: Exclusive offers on food, drinks, and merchandise at participating Highlands shops and restaurants.
• Enhanced Security: Provided by Louisville Metro Police, Fifth Division.
Bardstown Road Aglow has been held on the First Saturday in December since 1985 in the Highlands. The annual holiday event is supported by dozens of local business & neighborhood sponsors. Visit bardstownroadaglow.org for more information.
